In accordance with the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, which remain in force post-Brexit, we confirm that our VAT registration number is not applicable at this time as our turnover does not currently exceed the UK VAT registration threshold of £90,000. This notice will be updated immediately upon any change to our VAT registration status.

2. Governing Law

This website and all transactions made through it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with your use of this website or any purchase made through it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, to which both parties irrevocably submit.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms shall affect your rights as an EU consumer under applicable local law.

3. Consumer Protection Compliance

OakDrift operates in full compliance with UK consumer protection legislation, including:

Consumer Rights Act 2015: Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Customers have the right to repair, replacement or refund where products do not meet these standards.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: Customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from receipt of goods. Full details are set out in our Returns Policy.

Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA): In force from April 2025, this Act strengthens consumer protection law in the UK. OakDrift complies with all provisions including the prohibition on drip pricing all mandatory charges including shipping are displayed clearly before checkout and no fees are added after the initial price is presented. We do not engage in fake reviews or misleading pricing practices.

Electronic Commerce Regulations 2002: We provide clear pre-contract information including product descriptions, total prices, delivery timeframes, and cancellation rights before any purchase is completed.

Subscription Services

OakDrift offers optional subscription services for fragrance oil refills. In accordance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the following rights apply to all subscription customers:

Informed consent: You will be provided with full pre-contract information before subscribing, including the subscription price, billing frequency, and what is included.

Cooling-off period: You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date your subscription begins, during which you may cancel without penalty.

Renewal reminders: We will notify you before each subscription renewal, giving you sufficient notice to cancel if you do not wish to continue.

Easy cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us at contact@oakdrift.com. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Cancellation confirmation: You will receive written confirmation of your cancellation by email.

4. Pricing Transparency

In compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, OakDrift operates a transparent pricing policy. All mandatory charges including product price, applicable shipping costs, and any duties or taxes are displayed clearly before you are asked to complete your purchase. No additional mandatory charges will be added at the final stage of checkout that were not presented earlier in your purchase journey.

Promotional prices and launch offers are clearly labelled as such and the standard price is displayed alongside for comparison.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website including but not limited to the OakDrift name, logo, product names, images, descriptions, and design is the intellectual property of Li's Technology & Logistics Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property law.

OakDrift has filed a trademark application for the OakDrift name and logo in the United Kingdom. Unauthorised use of any OakDrift intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

Product scent names used by OakDrift (such as Liquid Gold, Forbidden Touch, Primal Instinct etc.) are original creative names belonging to OakDrift and do not reference, imply endorsement by, or claim affiliation with any third party fragrance brand or manufacturer.

6. Product Compliance

OakDrift fragrance oils are supplied with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), allergen reports, and IFRA compliance certificates in accordance with applicable UK and EU regulations. Our products are classified as air care and aromatherapy products and are not intended for use on skin or for ingestion.

Our cotton sticks have been independently tested and comply with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU as confirmed by SGS testing report CANEC24016673402.

CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) compliant labels are applied to all fragrance oil bottles in accordance with UK CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as retained in UK law.

In accordance with the Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025, which came into force on 1 January 2026, all OakDrift packaged goods clearly display accurate quantities, volumes and weights. Our 10ml fragrance oil bottles are labelled with the correct net volume (10ml) in compliance with this Act.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Li's Technology & Logistics Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of OakDrift products or services.

Our products are designed for use as car air fresheners and aromatherapy products only. We accept no liability for any damages arising from use of our products in a manner inconsistent with the provided instructions.

Nothing in this Legal Notice limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
